Swig & Solve brings people together around handcrafted wooden mystery chests for a relaxed, memorable experience of locks, compartments, hands-on puzzles and shared discoveries.

It has some of the satisfying discovery of an escape room, but in a much more relaxed social setting. Your group plays together around its own table throughout, so there is no locked room, no countdown pressure and no need to race.

The puzzles are designed to be enjoyable and rewarding, with enough challenge to feel satisfying while still keeping the experience moving. Your pirate host will guide the adventure, bring a little humour to proceedings and offer a helpful nudge whenever your group needs one.

And finding the treasure is only part of it. Afterwards, your group can continue with the Tavern Menu — a selection of larger bonus challenges to explore together.

A pirate-themed mystery packed with locks, compartments, unusual objects, bespoke puzzles and plenty of surprises.

Each successful solution opens up something new as your group works its way deeper into the chest and towards the treasure.

It’s designed around discovery, shared problem-solving and those satisfying moments when everything suddenly clicks into place.

Every group can choose how they would like to tackle The Lost Treasure.

Standard Voyage
The original Swig & Solve experience, with balanced clues and signposting designed to keep the adventure flowing.

Blackbeard’s Challenge
For experienced puzzlers and groups looking for something trickier — the same mystery chest and core puzzles, but with less signposting and more left for your group to work out.

Standard Voyage is still a proper puzzle experience. Blackbeard’s Challenge is simply there for groups who deliberately want the tougher route.

The experience can be as relaxed or as lightly competitive as your group wants it to be.

Finding the treasure doesn’t mean the experience is over.

Once your group has completed the main chest, you can choose from a themed selection of larger bonus challenges.

Some offer quicker, satisfying wins. Others provide something with a little more bite. Pick the ones that intrigue your group and see how many more discoveries you can make together.

👥 Who is it for?

Swig & Solve is designed for groups of friends, workmates, couples booking together and other small groups looking for something genuinely different to do together.

No previous puzzle or escape-room experience is needed, and experienced puzzle lovers can choose the tougher Blackbeard’s Challenge if they want more of a test.

Different people often notice different things, so teamwork matters just as much as puzzle experience.

Choose a chest for 3, 4, 5 or 6 players. One booking reserves one complete mystery chest for your group, and you’ll play together at your own table.

Standard Voyage or Blackbeard’s Challenge

Only six chests are available for this event, so availability is limited.

Suitable for ages 16+. Under-18s must attend alongside an adult. Individual venue age policies may apply.

Please allow around two hours for the full experience, including the main mystery chest and your choice of Tavern Menu bonus challenges.

There is no countdown clock and no pressure to rush, so you can take your time and enjoy the experience at your own pace.

📸 Photos and sharing

You are welcome to take photographs with the chest before the game begins, while the puzzle materials and compartments remain closed.

Once gameplay starts, please avoid photographing or filming clues, open compartments or puzzle materials. This helps preserve the surprises for future groups.

We may take a few general atmosphere photographs or short video clips during the event for Swig & Solve promotion, but we will never deliberately show close-up puzzle solutions or secret game content.

Please speak to us before the game begins if you would prefer not to appear in photographs or video.
